Medicare Three Day Rule Under New Scrutiny

Recently, an article in Forbes talks about Medicare’s three-day rule. Howard Gleckman, the author, suggests the Trump administration is looking for ways to weaken or eliminate the rule. The rule put in place in 1965, requires a three-day inpatient hospital stay in order to qualify for extended Medicare coverage.
