Scott Holcomb began his medical career in the Air Force 25 years ago as a flight medic. It was during that time that Scott decided he wanted to continue to care for people by becoming a nurse. In 2000 he enrolled at West Virginia University, subsequently obtaining his Bachelor of Science in Nursing. He decided to further his education by obtaining his Masters from Wright State University in Ohio and became a Family Nurse Practitioner in 2011.
Prior to working with SC House Calls, he retired from the Air Force after 25 years of service where he was deployed five times, which included tours in Afghanistan and Iraq.
His dedication and service to our country and fellow service man and woman helps to gives Scott a unique perspective when caring for the patients in the communities he serves, as well as, the Veteran community.
Scott started with South Carolina House Calls in 2019 and serves as a Nurse Practitioner in the Charleston area. He has taken care of patients in senior living facilities, at the Hospice House in Summerville, and now to members of the community in which he lives. Scott is not only dedicated to his country and his patients, but also SC House Calls and the team in which he works. Regional Vice President Ambra McGuinn says, “Scott is an amazing provider who goes above and beyond everyday to take care of his patients. He is an asset to our team and our company!”
Scott is married and has four children, four dogs and two guinea pigs. When not spending time with his family, you can find Scott cheering on his Mountaineers or the Cleveland Browns during football season.
